Questions

Do I really need two photographers?

In short, yes. There are so many things going on at any one time during your wedding that with only one photographer you will certainly miss many precious moments in your final photo gallery. Every package we offer provides a minimum of two wedding photographers so that from catching both bride and groom getting ready to seeing both of your expressions during the first look to the dance party at the end of the reception we are sure to catch every little bit of the action. Most photographers hire a "second shooter" when you need an additional photographer. That second shooter generally makes a low hourly wage, and therefore is usually a student or someone without a ton of experience. Both of us are experienced "First Shooters" and we're owners and operators of our business with years of experience working together so we're both extremely invested in making sure every shot is pristine and every detail is captured at the highest level of professionalism. That's the Annie x Mike difference.

How do I book?

If we are available on your date, have spoken to you and feel that it's a good fit, we will send you a quote and contract.  Then a non-refundable 30% retainer and signed contract is due immediately to book and hold the date of your event and the retainer also serves as a cancellation fee. The remaining balance may be broken up into multiple payments and is due (2) weeks before the date of the wedding.

PAYMENTS: All sessions and packages (plus taxes) can be paid via cash, check, PayPal or Venmo. If paying by check, a $35 fee will be charged if for some reason the check bounces.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

CANCELLATION POLICY: We understand that life happens, and sometimes things change. God forbid, but if the wedding is called off or tragedy occurs, we will discuss a possible partial refund of up to 70%. If the Wedding is called off for any other reason or your complimentary engagement session has already been completed, no refund will be issued. If you wish to change the wedding date, we will do our best to accommodate the change and no fee will be charged as long as the new date is available and within six months of the original event date. If we are not available for the new date, the original contract will be cancelled and subject to the cancellation policy.

If Annie x Mike Photography cannot perform this Contract due to fire or other casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to Photographer’s illness or emergency, then the Photographer shall return the retainer fee, but shall have no further liability with respect to the contract. A full refund shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or other media malfunction, lost or damaged due to fault on the part of the Photographer.

How long does it take to receive my photos?

Your final edited gallery of high-resolution wedding photos will be shared to your emails within 60 days of your wedding date. We will deliver 5-10 sneak peak photos within 7 days of the wedding so you have some images to hold you over and share on social media until the final wedding gallery is delivered. We will also send a wooden box customized with your names engraved in it containing a usb drive of your wedding gallery so that you have a beautiful place to keep a physical backup of your wedding photos. We also offer physical wedding album design and delivery as an a la carte add on!

Can I pay with a credit card?

Yes you can! You can pay digitally with any major debit or credit card directly through Paypal, or Venmo.

Do you deliver every photo you shoot?

No. For an 8 hour wedding we will shoot between 4,000-8,000 photos. A large part of our job is spending hours going through the shoot and finding only the best photos to deliver to you. We will generally deliver anywhere between 500-1000 final photos for an 8 hour wedding.

Do you edit the final photos and what does that entail?

Yes we edit every single photo we deliver to you. Our standard post-production process includes our unique stylistic process of color correction and skin-tone balancing, cropping and leveling, clarity and focus processing, and black and white processing on select photos. This is our standard editing process and is included with all wedding packages. As an a la carte add-on we also offer advanced retouching of images and this includes removing blemishes, bags under eyes, fly-away hairs, or even removing entire objects from photos. We charge our standard hourly post-production rate of $250/hour for this a la carte service, depending on what needs to be done we can do advanced retouching of between 2-5 photos an hour.
